Speaking the Truth in Love

Speaking the Truth in Love:
Unity in the Body
Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all.
However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. That is why the Scriptures say,
“When he ascended to the heights,
he led a crowd of captives
and gave gifts to his people.”
Notice that it says “he ascended.” This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world. 10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4

Being humble and gentle is not in my nature I’m more blabbing out what I think and being easily offended and very aggressive. God has been working on me to be a woman of God the way he intended me to be for some time it’s a struggle to suffer the fleshes desires to be Christlike every day. I give in and then I realize with the conviction of the Holy Spirit which dwells in me and I honor God by repenting and seeking His word. I don’t want to live for myself, flesh, or the world since I’ve been saved I said I serve you Lord, you are my God and He is. I have noticed in the Christian churches and people a big fluctuation in bible doctrine, principles, theology and the way people actually live. One thing that is difficult for me to love in Christians is the fact a lot of them are religious but not filled with the Spirit of God or spirit filled believers. This is a big difference. You can tell by what they watch, listen to, and their daily activities and lifestyle. A Christian who watches zombie movies, non-christian music, goes to worldly events is not being convicted by the Holy Spirit or conformed to the image of God. How do I know this? It happened to me and it still does. I am spirit filled so I observe they are not. I cannot go and watch a zombie movie or even a sci-fi movie where they are worshipping false Gods or any with other religions it quickens the spirit in me and makes me sick physically. The word says we will not be like the world but aliens to the world they don’t understand our beliefs our values and our faith in God. You cannot be living for money and then say you are a preacher it’s contradicting and will not work. We have to choose. Do we believe the bible or not?

Regardless the gifts God gives us is to be used within the body to build up the church and to grow with love and so all things we say or do should be done with a gentle and meek spirit one that is filled with truth in love. I haven’t by any means perfected this character but I know it is what God wants so even though I myself am flawed in this area doesn’t mean that I still cannot produce seeds in you by sharing this knowledge and I pray that it will become wisdom as I grow in His truth and share it with others more with the love of Christ. You can still do what God has called you to do and be even when you are not perfect it’s not about us anyhow it is about having a willing heart to serve Christ wherever He calls you.

So be encouraged by this word and this message that God can use you if you work out your salvation daily with humility and meekness, with consecration and devotion to Him first each day and let Him into every inch of your life.
