Jobs & Housing for ExFelonies in Texas

copied from: Searching for a job after being released from prison can take a long time before finding one. However, there are jobs for felons in Amarillo, Houston and other parts of Texas. Since some companies are known to be felon-friendly, former inmates who are not skilled workers should start their search at these companies. A few companies that are willing to hire people who have been in prison are: Baskin-RobbinsBest WesternDomino’s PizzaDunkin DonutsKmartKraft FoodsMotorolaPhillip Morris Co.Sears Admittedly, the majority of these positions are low paying jobs, but many ex-felons have managed to move on to better jobs, especially after going back to school. Prosperity "False Gospel" Message

Prosperity “False Gospel” Message: We need to have a state of mind that gives out of pure desire and joy in the act of giving knowing it will meet the needs of someone else and that becomes rewarding and fulfilling. If we give our tithe and offering thinking we will receive a double or triple portion from that then your giving is out of a selfish heart and selfish desire for gain yourself this is where all those tv salesman/woman who call themselves teachers, preachers, and evangelist are making the big bucks selling you a ticket to their fame and fortune but giving you nothing but confusion and deceit in return. It's good to tithe your first 10% of earnings to your church or a ministry that you are apart of and even give beyond an offering if you don't make any money you can give with your time or a service, skill, talent not to get a financial reward in return but as a spiritual offering unto the Lord saying thank you God I know you have my best interest, I am committed and d…

Now, Now, Now
I want it now, I just can't wait I've gotta have it right now! Does this sound familiar to you? Maybe reminds you of a child or even yourself? It does remind me of my children but certainly myself as well. We have been wanting to buy a house for maybe 2 years now and to this day we have $0 saved in the bank and our debt is about the same as it was a year ago. I am ashamed to admit that I just haven't tackled the addiction I have with online shopping. I compare it to a drug addiction it gives me a high, it allows me to have what I want very quickly, the consequences are there but not immediately felt, the rush is real but with every high comes the gravity of going down off that high and the negative self-feelings of shame, disappointment, frustration, and the reality being face to face with your new total balance for paypal which in two days I spent $500 maxing out my paypal credit of $2k. Wow! You did what! Dang girl you have some issues.....yeah those reacti…

Be More, Do More, Want More
This is the tug-of-war we face daily: or at least I do. Will I choose to have more or give more? Maybe I choose both...."A person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people." Romans 2:29b Don't say yes to someone just to impress them or so they will like you put God first priority every day. Surrendering our hearts to God takes an action and courage on our parts. Will I choose to die to self today and live for God? Will I surrender all and invite the Holy Spirit to run this ship? Most of the time honestly I don't...I like being in control, being the driver even knowing that I've driven into trouble more than enough....I admit it I'm stubborn it takes me a few times around the desert ok maybe a few hundred times, I'm a hot mess people it's true! We are all selfish by nature, back to the beginning with Adam and Eve and if that doesn't resonate with you take precious children if you have any then you know w…

Personal Transformation- part 2

One of the most complex subjects and words is Love and in 1 Corinthians 13 Paul tells us Love is the Most important thing. This whole chapter deserves to be read for this particular lesson on transformation we will be focusing on the core of this chapter on what is love and what love is not. I suggest making a list to get a better understanding.  “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” NIV “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” Now yo…

Transformation- Part 1: Fix Your Thoughts

When you are a new creation in Christ old things pass away, your past sins are forgiven, and you have a chance to create a new you a new life; a total transformation. When I became a Christian I was alot older than most and so I imagine for me it was a totally different experience than many new christians who grow up in church, and are saved at an earlier age between 7-10. No matter when you get saved, transformation will happen if you give your total life over to God, if you put your total trust in the love of Christ, and allow the Holy Spirit to work through you as a Disciple of Christ.
There are two key scripture passages that I'd like to share with you on transformation:

The chapter of Philippians 4 vs 8 where Paul is talking about what we should meditate (focus our minds) on. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good repo…

i've lost 6 lbs! just updated 8/24/15 it's been over one month since i seen a dr for my terrible back pain and left with 2 prescription recommendations.  at first i took them but the side effects made me come to a very important life decision and that's to make changes.  i started eating 80% whole and raw foods gradually over the last month, stepped away from the artificial sweeteners and diet sodas and painfully n slowly started working out my neck, back, and core and the improvements are not only the weight loss but the pain has decreased drastically from my neck, back n shoulders and i've only needed pain medicine a few times and I know that this is just the beginning to taking back my health after a period of post-partam depression, lack of energy, and stress of being a sahm.(stay at home mom)  i'm conquering my giants and so can you if you have any of the same struggles, you can do i…

Today's Words of Encouragement

Words of Encouragement "A bribe is like a lucky charm, whoever gives one will prosper."  Proverbs 17:8
You could choose to rely on luck and bribes to prosper, but that only leads to moral corruption of your heart and soul. Luck is only chance, Faith, Hope, and Love those are a firm and solid foundation; that comes from the Promises of God through, Christ Jesus.
I'm taking my chances in the one who opened my eyes, to a better life and in Him I will succeed and continue to prosper!  thank you Lord! Follow on FB Twitter Pinterest Like, Comment and Share Have a Blessed Day!

Weekend Encouragement

"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death."  Proverbs 14:12,26-27
In the Bible when it says the fear of the Lord or fears the Lord it is talking about respect, honor, and reverance these words are linked to an employee for a boss or a son for his dad or a daughter for her mom but this is the highest form of humility because it takes lowering ourselves, our wants, our desires and our self to see a bigger picture one created by the creator, Abba Father God, the Great I AM, who was and is, and is to come. I pray that for me and for you we can put #1 fear of God so our choices will be pleasing to Him and will be His very bests for our lives. I love Him because He first loved me, thank you Lord! Have a blessed weekend friends!

Our Journey: One Chapter at a Time

We each have unique stories of how we came to know Christ as our Saviour this is called our testimony and we are called to share our story and testify and that's exactly what I'm going to do. as I never know who might be new and browsing my page and who needs to hear my story.  If you study the scripture you can get a unique portfolio of the different people who made history and who wrote parts of the bible. Paul is the one I was reading about I just started at Acts 27 on this occasion and was fascinated as I hadn't read these chapters in awhile I read through Acts 28 and then into Romans 1 it made such a difference reading a couple of chapters before Romans before starting in Romans. We have unique chapters to our testimony and each time we share our story we might start at a different chapter depending on who we are sharing with or how the Spirit is leading us.
I have come to a chapter in my life of being aware that I need to grow in maturity and seeking God's guida…

God is Not a Fairy

"13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love." 1 Corinthians 16
"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2

If you are a God fearing Believer/ Christian than please think before you repost you are not being nice or cute reposting things that say"if you do this God will do this and if not then ur not my friend..." this is NOT how God works and if He is your God than you should know better, He isn't a fairy stop mocking Him! This is posted with love  as a concerned Sister of the faith and we are to hold each other accountable.

Only One Gospel

"Dear brothers and sisters, I want you to understand that the gospel message I preach is not based on mere human reasoning. I received my message from no human source, and no one taught me. Instead, I received it by direct revelation from Jesus Christ." Galatians 1:12

this is true for my faith in Jesus it didn't come from a human teacher but from a direct and personal encounter with Christ so nothing or nobody can convince me that Jesus isn't God and isn't real my life is a witness to how real He is and the change He made on my heart is real. If me saying this offends you than please unfriend me I'm not trying to be popular on here just share some truth and some encouragement.

"obviously, i'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant." Galatians 1:10 my thoughts exactly! stand strong in your faith and do not conform to the images or patterns of this World- Be bold…

Pray in Faith

“All the things you pray and ask for-- believe that you have received them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24 (HCSB)
Now I encourage you to go to several bible translations and read this verse and write atleast three translations down. Now, choose the one that you understand the most. Now open that bible and read the full context of what is being said which it starts at verse 20 and is a lesson about the withered fig tree and it goes through to verse 24. This is one of those scripture verses that is used and abused by leaders of churches that like to declare & decree, “name it & claim it”. Let me be very clear right now that's not biblical and it's not Holy spirit filled, nor do I believe that this type of “spirit” is pleasing to God. We attended a church briefly that's main priority was gaining wealth and we were tempted to fall into this trap but the Lord's spirit prevailed and it helped us grow in our faith and in His word and truth and so we fleed from t…

How I Started my Day

I had a full 8 hours of sleep last night which is a rare thing with two toddler boys. Praise the Lord! I started my morning feeling well rested and good so I got on the floor and thanked my God and praised Him. I drank 16 floz of cold water with fresh lemon juice in it. I went for a 15 min walk before the crack of dawn that was kind of nerve wracking lol but thankfully their was just enough street lights on that it wasn't too scary, lol. I continued my bible reading on the word study-pure in Titus 1 and 2 reading both chapters and the 2 scriptures that focus on pure are vs 1;15 and 2:5.
I am participating in a 21 day fast track program and group so i took a pic for them of my breakfast which is 1/4 cup of whole oats add water n cook for 1 minute in the microwave, 2 tsps of organic coconut oil, some cinnamon, and 1/4 scoop of chocolate slimquick pure weightloss protein powder and i'm adding 1000 mg oil from fish oil tab to that, i also am having a cup of coffee with whole milk …

Superfoods for a Super You

Superfoods are the best of nature and nutrition with lots of health and nutrition benefits packed into each serving of these all natural, God created foods.

I had a list of top superfoods nutritionist eat daily but I can't find that list here's some that I am eating daily and remember off hand:

yogurt, broccoli, blueberries, oatmeal, cinnamon, flaxseeds, fish, tomatoes

I eat my oatmeal and then …

How Im Dealing with Anxiety

This last month I've been dealing with some major physical pains in my wrists, my right shoulder and back to the point i finally visited a Dr. As a stay at home mom I am normally under alot of anxiety so when the nurse asked me about anxiety I just started tearing up and then I was asked alot of mental related questions and they had me take an anxiety test. The Dr. prescribed me two prescriptions one was for the pain- Meloxicam which is a nsaid and the other was for my mental health which she was very convinced i have OCD which is obsessive compulsive disorder. So i went in because of my physical pain and was told how to discipline my children and told i have a mental disorder that I don't have. I asked her how she observed this she started explaining to me what it was and I said I don't do these things I was stressed, I do have alot of anger at my children as they do not listen or mind most of the time and they are both very young so lots of energy at 3 and 5 and they are…

Everyone Who Believes

This is mind-blowing to me! I just can't wrap my brain around it....I mean really if you think about the full context of this  two lines of scripture it just makes you go why? and amazing!

"We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are." Romans 3:22

and the biggest thing about this is that's saying anyone who believes so don't judge, condemn, or write off anyone that's what I'm thinking just keep praying and loving and shining so they will believe and experience the fullness of our faith in Jesus Christ! amen. I'm going to keep this one short n sweet! have a relaxing weekend.

Blessings in Christs' Love,

Save $500-$1000 for Unplanned Expenses

This is Step 1 of the Baby Steps in the Dave Ramsey Program

We are just starting this step over again and so I wanted to share it with you too. Like always something unplanned always comes up in expenses. Right now my husbands new car has spongy breaks and another dragging sound and he bought it this way I hope that it doesn't cost alot to fix but we don't have our emergency fund set up so we have to just hope it doesn't cost more than what extra we can afford this paycheck. It would be much better if we had $500 or $1000 saved for this kind of unplanned expense. He is saving with this new to us car he traded in his ford f250 truck for this ford taurus car and the saving is 1/2 the gas so $20 a week instead of $40 and our insurance went down from $60 a month to $30 so I think he made a smart choice. I'm considering trading in my Mitsubishi Sport SUV as it averages 15 mpg gas I know that I can get something better than that that…

Build Your Life Around Wisdom

Proverbs are rich with the context of this title I try and read one each day and apply its lessons to my life personally. “Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment. Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.
So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise,
    and they will love you.
Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous,
and they will learn even more. 10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. 11 Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life.
12 If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit.
If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer.” Proverbs 9:6-12
Having wisdom and good judgment should be something desired by everyone but I've come to realize this isn't the case. I'll give you an example: I have a good friend who just got marrie…

Words of Encouragement

For whatever the heart desires will be made known by our words, actions and deeds. Faith without works is dead and you can tell a mans faith by his deeds and actions. Even a fool seems wise when he is silent and speaks few words. It's by ones actions that you can examine the intent of their heart. Whatever seeds a man plants he will sow in harvest, if he plants not he sows not. You cannot expect to receive something without working hard, somebody had to do some work to get that food or that money; if it's not you than you are using somebody's resources and that makes you in debt to them rather it be a bank, the government, or an individual. Borrow only what you can pay off in a minimal amount of time with your sweat equity. Do not borrow without planning to work that debt off, this creates a poor mans mentality within you and dampens your faith in God's provisions. It's better to work hard for little than to have much without working for it at all. You can sleep …
