Pray in Faith

“All the things you pray and ask for-- believe that you have received them, and you will have them.”
Mark 11:24 (HCSB)

Now I encourage you to go to several bible translations and read this verse and write atleast three translations down. Now, choose the one that you understand the most. Now open that bible and read the full context of what is being said which it starts at verse 20 and is a lesson about the withered fig tree and it goes through to verse 24. This is one of those scripture verses that is used and abused by leaders of churches that like to declare & decree, “name it & claim it”. Let me be very clear right now that's not biblical and it's not Holy spirit filled, nor do I believe that this type of “spirit” is pleasing to God. We attended a church briefly that's main priority was gaining wealth and we were tempted to fall into this trap but the Lord's spirit prevailed and it helped us grow in our faith and in His word and truth and so we fleed from that church. Many will be deceived and say that their evil ways and deeds are pure and good, there will be many false prophets and teachers that will lead God's flock astray. This is why we each have to confess our sins to God, repent and seek God's truth, wisdom and discernment for our lives not relying or depending on anyone no matter how “holy or esteemed” they seem. I would suggest you find yourself by personal study of the word solely and if you want to watch a tv preacher do it for entertainment or contemplation but don't take it for face value as truth because you could be easily led astray from the Word and truth of God.

The scripture above is saying that you should pray with faith believing that what you pray will happen and will come to pass but the main focus should be that you are praying with faith that God's in control and His will be done in your life and in your heart and that you will be transformed to desire what His very best is for you not the other way around. I know that their's a lot of temptations everywhere and even when choosing a church home you have to be on guard and spirit led or you can be led astray. We each need to have a church home that we attend for encouragement, to learn, also to give of our money, time and skills. It's not just about what the church can do for you but it should be what you can do for that church body of believers. God says for us to be generous givers not generous receivers.

Invest as much time now in the Word of God because we are free to do so and we don't know how long that will be. As you are doing this pray for the Christians around the world who are persecuted daily for their confession of faith and belief in Jesus Christ as their Lord and God. I pray that each of you will put God first and seek His truth wholeheartedly above all things.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.”
Please read Matthew 6: 19-34 for further study

Lord help us be content where we are and thrive at being the light in this dark world and holding onto our integrity, moral values, and hope that you are faithful and you are greater than all our troubles, worries, and struggles that your grace does set us free from the sins of our past and can set us free from the sins we are choosing now if we will confess them daily before you, repent from them, and seeking your word for wisdom, truth, and holding onto your spirit for protection, guidance, and discernment so we can make the very best choices and choose to live a life that is pleasing to you.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen

How I Started my Day

I had a full 8 hours of sleep last night which is a rare thing with two toddler boys. Praise the Lord! I started my morning feeling well rested and good so I got on the floor and thanked my God and praised Him. I drank 16 floz of cold water with fresh lemon juice in it. I went for a 15 min walk before the crack of dawn that was kind of nerve wracking lol but thankfully their was just enough street lights on that it wasn't too scary, lol. I continued my bible reading on the word study-pure in Titus 1 and 2 reading both chapters and the 2 scriptures that focus on pure are vs 1;15 and 2:5.
I am participating in a 21 day fast track program and group so i took a pic for them of my breakfast which is 1/4 cup of whole oats add water n cook for 1 minute in the microwave, 2 tsps of organic coconut oil, some cinnamon, and 1/4 scoop of chocolate slimquick pure weightloss protein powder and i'm adding 1000 mg oil from fish oil tab to that, i also am having a cup of coffee with whole milk added and the yellow packets one packet of sweetener-sucralose and top that with a 2nd 16 floz of water. i will take my vitamins with the water which are a cvs womans multi for energy and mental function and i have 3 others i rotate out as needed today ill take the balanced B-100 which is a time released for energy metabolism always great for when ur on your time of month or have bouts with depression or just need that added energy supplement.

Superfoods for a Super You

Superfoods are the best of nature and nutrition with lots of health and nutrition benefits packed into each serving of these all natural, God created foods.

I had a list of top superfoods nutritionist eat daily but I can't find that list here's some that I am eating daily and remember off hand:

yogurt, broccoli, blueberries, oatmeal, cinnamon, flaxseeds, fish, tomatoes

for me i think you need to love your meals to really make it work so I enjoy a simple meal of oatmeal each morning with that I add 2 tbsp of organic coconut oil, and a scoop of weightloss protein powder chocolate flavored, and cinnamon that's it for me i usually would skip breakfast and just drink a cup of coffee so i've changed to include first a glass of cold water with fresh lemon juice for the antioxidant and detox benefits. I eat my oatmeal and then drink my coffee. i'm going to get some flaxseed to add to my oatmeal for added health benefits.

For my anxiety I also take a few different specific things to help with that:

a womans vitamin that i bought from cvs that's for mental health and energy that's a one a day multivitamin, a stress energy tab from Stresstabs it's suppose to help reduce stress and fatigue, i also have homeopathic formulas from 21C you spray in your mouth that i take through out the day as needed the ones i take are Morale (for mood swings, sadness, despair, hypersensitivity), Recharge (for fatigue, drowsiness, sweet food cravings, drain of energy, headaches, nausea), and Serenity (for mental, physical, or emotional stress, tension, body pains, irritability, sleeplessness) these are also gentle for children these got really good reviews but as of yet i haven't really seen any results in the last 2 weeks i've been using so we will see.

theirs alot of other great foods that you can add to this small list the best thing is to pick items that are in season and if you can afford go with organic but i can't afford so i just buy what's in season like blueberries, brocolli, and watermelon are all in season right now and you can freeze some items for later use such as green beans and corn.

I believe God's Creation has the answer to all my health needs and maybe some therapy would be beneficial too but I will not trust pharmaceutical meds with my health when I haven't exhausted what nature has to offer and natural medicines.

Please follow, comment and share.

How Im Dealing with Anxiety

This last month I've been dealing with some major physical pains in my wrists, my right shoulder and back to the point i finally visited a Dr. As a stay at home mom I am normally under alot of anxiety so when the nurse asked me about anxiety I just started tearing up and then I was asked alot of mental related questions and they had me take an anxiety test. The Dr. prescribed me two prescriptions one was for the pain- Meloxicam which is a nsaid and the other was for my mental health which she was very convinced i have OCD which is obsessive compulsive disorder. So i went in because of my physical pain and was told how to discipline my children and told i have a mental disorder that I don't have. I asked her how she observed this she started explaining to me what it was and I said I don't do these things I was stressed, I do have alot of anger at my children as they do not listen or mind most of the time and they are both very young so lots of energy at 3 and 5 and they are both boys. So, i did go ahead and take the medicines for 3 days but reading the list of possible side effects was terrible as someone who does have bipolar depression but chooses not to get on medication the Sertraline said it can increase depression and suicide thoughts/attempts (which isn't going to happen).
So, the immediate side effects I experienced were a stomach pain from the meloxicam and drowsiness and waking up very tired feeling from the sertraline was enough for me to not go that route.
I have decided to go the natural route which is utilizing God given foods and eventually more physical working out I am looking into beach bodies right now as i love to dance so my next post I'm going to share with you some top superfoods for a healthier life and body.
I am also taking care of my spirit/soul with the Word of God always daily this is a must as spiritual strongholds try to mess with us ok and that's the mental health issues and so we have to stay in the faith and in the word. I am going to be sharing the word study i'm doing too in a post on Pure, Clean, and Holy and I'm convinced I can be a Woman of God that's not taking prescription drugs all the days of my life that I can handle my health by taking care of my body, mind, and soul the all natural way.

i'd love to get your comments, feedbacks, likes and shares. if you like this post make sure to follow me for more!

Everyone Who Believes

This is mind-blowing to me! I just can't wrap my brain around it....I mean really if you think about the full context of this  two lines of scripture it just makes you go why? and amazing!

"We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are." Romans 3:22

and the biggest thing about this is that's saying anyone who believes so don't judge, condemn, or write off anyone that's what I'm thinking just keep praying and loving and shining so they will believe and experience the fullness of our faith in Jesus Christ! amen. I'm going to keep this one short n sweet! have a relaxing weekend.

Blessings in Christs' Love,

Save $500-$1000 for Unplanned Expenses

This is Step 1 of the Baby Steps in the Dave Ramsey Program

We are just starting this step over again and so I wanted to share it with you too. Like always something unplanned always comes up in expenses. Right now my husbands new car has spongy breaks and another dragging sound and he bought it this way I hope that it doesn't cost alot to fix but we don't have our emergency fund set up so we have to just hope it doesn't cost more than what extra we can afford this paycheck. It would be much better if we had $500 or $1000 saved for this kind of unplanned expense. He is saving with this new to us car he traded in his ford f250 truck for this ford taurus car and the saving is 1/2 the gas so $20 a week instead of $40 and our insurance went down from $60 a month to $30 so I think he made a smart choice. I'm considering trading in my Mitsubishi Sport SUV as it averages 15 mpg gas I know that I can get something better than that that's not an suv we do like the extra space or when we go camping but priority is to save that emergency fund of $500 we make more than $20k a year but this should give us a good cushion and then we can jump into step 2 which is the debt snowball. we already have $150 to start the snowball from my husband using our savings to pay off his truck payment which was $150 a month.

Here's a link to step 2:

for this step you write all your debt down in order from least to greatest and you use any freed up money you can to start a debt snowball and you keep making the monthly minimum payments on all other debt accept for the least one until you get that one payed off and then you take that payment amount and add it to the 2nd debt so each one you pay off you take the total payment you were making and add to the next this increases your payments and decreases your debt. love it!

My husband is wanting to apply for a better paying job which really makes me nervous as he's been at his job for 8 years even before we knew each other but i understand as the starting pay is almost $4 more than where he's working but their's two catches they usually start newbies on night shift which he just got switched to days on his job now and we owe $3k in 2 401k loans that must be payed back before he could do that or they would be due immediately upon resignation. so i think we will be starting by paying those off first as him increasing his income is a priority.

I wish that I could help by getting a part time job but my oldest child will just be starting Kind. and my youngest want start pre-k until next year and that's only 3 hours. Sometimes my husband works 12 hours so that would leave only a few hours at most i could work a day and that's if my husband only gets 5 hours of sleep so yeah that doesn't work unless i could find something at home.....

hoping and praying! in Christ's love

Build Your Life Around Wisdom

Proverbs are rich with the context of this title I try and read one each day and apply its lessons to my life personally. “Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment.
Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.
So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise,
    and they will love you.
Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous,
and they will learn even more.
10 Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
11 Wisdom will multiply your days and add years to your life.
12 If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit.
If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer.” Proverbs 9:6-12

Having wisdom and good judgment should be something desired by everyone but I've come to realize this isn't the case. I'll give you an example: I have a good friend who just got married now in all the years I've known her she's always been a hard worker and has never been in need financially until recently she mentioned being broke and not having any food so I invited her over and gave her a check to help with her need. As we talked she mentioned her new car which she showed me it was a 2015 and she only payed $500 a month. Now I know I needed to use good judgment in how I spoke to her I didn't want to say now theres the problem you can't afford food because of that brand-new car! She related to me what a great deal it was so I had to just be subtle and I shared how I'm so glad that my husband and me have great cars we payed cash for mine for only $4500 and his at the time was only $150 a month both 2003's but I don't think she took interest as she already decided that was a great deal. Now my friend isn't a fool but we all can make foolish decisions. Another more personal example is myself I've struggled the last several years with a shopping addiction. It's triggered by my mood swings having bipolar depression. I don't know if I've ever shared that with you guys so be gentle in your replies to this subject as it's a sensitive subject matter but I've come to the point in my life of accepting what it is. As my husband and me hold each other accountable each time I've shopped without talking to him first I've had to come clean as I can't stand to hide it from him in fact it really disgusts me later of my foolish choice. Sin and the temptation to sin is very powerful and we can't fight it alone we need accountability to another and to God. We need to come clean and not live in sin the sooner we repent of our sin the sooner we can be free from the power it has over us. Amen! I am still a work in progress as we all are and always will be. But, I know that it's possible to live without tons of debt and credit cards and so I'm going to keep pushing forward in this goal no matter how many times I relapse and use a credit card or paypal. I know my God is bigger than this and He will help set me free.

"I just pray right now for each of us whatever sin we are struggling with that we will confess, repent, and come clean so the power of the sin will be broken and we can live in victory gaining wisdom to make the best choices for our life with the guidance of our Lord. In Jesus' precious name. amen"

Words of Encouragement

For whatever the heart desires will be made known by our words, actions and deeds. Faith without works is dead and you can tell a mans faith by his deeds and actions. Even a fool seems wise when he is silent and speaks few words. It's by ones actions that you can examine the intent of their heart. Whatever seeds a man plants he will sow in harvest, if he plants not he sows not. You cannot expect to receive something without working hard, somebody had to do some work to get that food or that money; if it's not you than you are using somebody's resources and that makes you in debt to them rather it be a bank, the government, or an individual. Borrow only what you can pay off in a minimal amount of time with your sweat equity. Do not borrow without planning to work that debt off, this creates a poor mans mentality within you and dampens your faith in God's provisions. It's better to work hard for little than to have much without working for it at all. You can sleep well when you have put in a full days work but if you lay around collecting “benefits” you will never be at ease or content or fulfilled but instead you will be restless all of your days.

Accountable to God

Romans 2 NLT (new living translation)

God’s Judgment of Sin

2 You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things. Since you judge others for doing these things, why do you think you can avoid God’s judgment when you do the same things? Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?
But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. He will judge everyone according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.[a10 But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism.
12 When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it. 13 For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight. 14 Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. 15 They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. 16 And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.
To further understand this passage of scripture I recommend checking it out in a study bible read all the references and gain a further understanding. This is how I learn and understand this amazing scripture and study the bible. Romans is one of my favorite books of the bible and one that I least grasp because of it's rich context.

In this passage I am reminded of how Christians often we set ourselves as better than those who are not. I've even seen how those whose parent n parents several generations are Believers behave better than those who were not “born into” christianity or a christian family. This is an error and flaw in behavior and beliefs for nobody is righteous before God, no not one of us! God doesn't show favoritism and neither should the body of believers. Our secret lives will be revealed and judged by the one righteous judge so it's better to live in humility now not behaving better than others. Sin destroys everyone no matter title or public reputation, sin is poison and you can only consume so much before you experience the consequences of that poison in your blood it will destroy your heart and your soul and it will rot away at your good conscience and cloud your eyes judgment.

How to double your paycheck

Now I'm not going to tell you how to make double the money you will make at a job but I'm going to share with you how I've doubled my husbands income in resources and consumer goods by working hard and preparing; here's how:
1.Create a budget and stick to it

  1. Use cash only and live below your means example: we give 10% and save 10% from each paycheck so we live on 80% and often theirs some left over
  2. be content with what you have use, repurpose, recycle and go without unless u really need it
  3. shop at yard sales, thriftstores, and pawn shops first and avoid buying brand-new
  4. buy fresh produce in season and stock up for when they're not in season by freezing ex. Corn, berries, potatos, apples are all in season now you can freeze these and they are super cheap right now and have plenty for now and maybe some when they're more expensive so buy the produce that's cheapest now and use that for your cooking not the more expensive out of season items.
  5. Cook at home to save tons of money. Homemade pizza is 2-3 times cheaper than the cheapest fast food pizza or frozen pizza and it's a whole lot healthier and filling when you use homemade pizza dough which is super cheap to make.
  6. Homemade is healthier, fresher, and cheaper ex. Bread, muffins, cake, cookies, pizza.
  7. Make your own laundry soap to save $100's a year i've been making mine for 5 years only need to make 5 gallons about 3 times a year and it costs less than $40 for all the ingredients and it works great with vinegar for those greasy work clothes and smelly childrens clothes. I use the extra strength vinegar like bleach added to my husbands work clothes and most of the laundry.
  8. Learn the dave ramsey program and use it we're doing the baby step one again but it makes a lot of sense to save $1k for unplanned expensive and they always come up and pay off all your debt and that's step 2, step 3 save for 3 months worth of say if you were unemployed and then step 4 save for retirement and step 5 invest. We are doing it a bit different as we really want to buy a house he suggest having all ur debt payed off first and then having atleast 20% for down payment but to be honest that would take us 3-5 years and we've already been renting 5 years and have had enough of it so we're doing it differently but it's definitely good stuff to learn.
  9. Put God first do give and once you have enough for you today and for later you can give and it feels great to be the one to give and not the one always in need. We've been on foodstamps before and so I know and we've been able to help others now that we've learned these practical living skills and biblical principles for living a life that is pleasing to God. We have room to learn and to grow more and look forward to sharing what we learn along the way.

Preparing for His Best:

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jermiah 29:11

Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest— then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber. (Pr. 6:6-11 NLT)

Some basic financial math I have learned is 1+1=0, 2+1=1
What this means is if you have two consumer items then you have one for now and one for later but none to spare or to give. If you have three (loaves of bread) you have one for now, one for later or two for you and one to give or extra. This is a biblical practical living skill I wish I could share with everyone and is something the Lord has taught me. It's right here in the scripture too. The two examples above in Jeremiah 29:11 we are taught that God's plans are for good so we are preparing for His best not preparing for the worst. Next in Proverbs 6 we have a great example of how the ants prepare for the winter or we could say for a time of none by using the summer time or the time of extra and plenty to store up and save and work hard while they can. When I read this I think of the millions in our already deficit country drawing unemployment now I'm not one to stereotype but I've seen plenty of people being lazy wanting a handout but not wanting a hand-up not wanting or desiring to work hard for what they want or even just need and when they get their monthly foodstamps they dont budget or plan it out to meet their needs for the full month and the last week they are living off of bread crumbs and whatever is left over they haven't learned basic living skills for preparing, budgeting, and living within your means and to stretch the dollar even further so you not only have for this week but for later and even have extra to bless another in need.

I want to take this very basic money principle, this biblical financial principal and share it with the world! I want you to know it and share it and most importantly apply this biblical principal to your everyday living so it will change your life for the better. You cannot teach someone how to do the best if they are settling for the least. I pray that you will want to make the very best choices for your life and take these seeds and plant them and grow abundance that you can pass on to generations to come. Amen! I praise the Lord for this new chapter in my life that I am useful for His Kingdom. I give Him all the Honor, Praise and Glory in Jesus' name. Amen!

Headline News

From K.Fincher Family Ministry-Words of Encouragement Page 1 for August 2015

Many major events have been happening lately from supreme court ruling of the legalization of gay marriages in all 50 states to talk of a new currency reserve of the chinese to overpower and weaken or crash the u.s. Dollar to the prediction of end times prophecy saying Obama is the last president before russia blasts an emp and who knows the day or the hour it does get me thinking when I read these thing: how close our we? Should I be doing something to prepare? Their's people all over the world that are preparing for the end of the world, should we as Believers be doing the same? I've prayed about this and the Lord's answer to me is NO not in the way these people of the world even some claiming to be christians are. We prepare by keeping our lamp going with plenty of oil not by purchasing guns, amo, setting up underground housing, buying a years worth of food stock. We are to be a light of hope, faith, and love to the lost souls in this world who are living by the flesh, fear, and hate. If I spent all my time and resources preparing for the end I wouldn't have anything to give today. Does this make sense? I hope this will bring some light on that topic and subject matter. I can't just start learning to live like the amish as this predicter suggests. I must keep my faith and focus on the Lord where He has planted me in this world and culture. The Lord assures us in His word that He will take care of us tomorrow we are to prepare for today and not worry about tomorrow and to daily work hard but not to live in fear of what is to come. Reference: Matthew 6:33
We are to concern ourselves with the work at hand in bringing people to Christ the more we do this the closer we can get to Christs return and going home. Amen! So I believe it's our duty to plant seeds to many every chance we get that seed is sharing our belief and faith in Jesus Christ and believe me saying that will produce seeds of faith in others its a great opportunity we have in this dark and evil age of leadership and people. We can not despair or turn luke warm at such a time as this. This is the time and age of speaking up and speaking out for our Beliefs and embracing who we are in Christ. To plant our roots where He has us and making use of the resources where you are and no matter where you are our God is bigger than our troubles and our problems and will give us strength to face the fears we have and to help us overcome our flesh so we can stand up and praise Him through the storms. Amen!
References: Ecclesiastes 3
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! 5Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4

12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Cash Only Budget n envelope System

We started this method of Dave Ramseys for paying off our debt last month and in two or 3 weeks of following it we have payed off my husband truck loan by using our savings which we were saving 10% each week. In this way we are saving $150 a month for the truck loan amount. He then decided to trade in his truck for a Toyota which gets much better miles per gallon so that will save us another $10- $15 a week on gas and were hoping the insurance will also be less since it's paid for we are only getting liablility not full coverage like you need when you don't own the vehicle. We had to pay $250 on top of the trade to make it final so now we are at $0 again in savings and will be working at getting our baby step 1 $1000 emergency fund saved up again.

I must admit I fell back into using my 0% interest Chase Freedom c.c. again I'm over 1/2 of the total limit and I don't want to go over the 1/2 mark so I've really got to put that card down until i can get that total balance below the $2k right now it's about $2500 i'm not happy about that. i've also used paypal to purchase several things one which i'm least proud of is $200 worth of ebooks on surviving and preparing for the end times i havent even read them and know that i'm not going to i tried to get my money back but couldn't find a way to do that so it's a loss but it would be more so if i spent the hours of time reading the ebooks n trying to follow them. i think my time is best at saving our family money, focusing on ways to be a light and a blessing now to my family and others, not preparing for the worst and constantly thinking about that, no thank you!

We are going to save the $1k again emergency fund and then work on saving a minimum of $2k for buying a home we are hoping to have that by february to march of next year. it seems things always come up though....i'm going to remain hopeful never the less. I am thankful where we are living we are saving atleast $200 a month on rent and a house down the street for rent is $1200 so maybe alot more for this particular neighborhood the downside is the landlord doesn't fix anything he only has one maintenance man so anytime something needs attention it takes forever and isn't fixed well more like a bandaid fix. but we are determined to stay here as long as needed to get our money saved up.

it can always be worse so we must remain thankful and content!
tell me your stories of budgeting and have you tried any programs for getting out of debt or saving money? what's working for you? i'd love to hear from you! Have a blessed independence day!!

The Benefits of Wisdom

The Benefits of Wisdom

Proverbs 2

My child,[a] listen to what I say,
    and treasure my commands.
Tune your ears to wisdom,
    and concentrate on understanding.
Cry out for insight,
    and ask for understanding.
Search for them as you would for silver;
    seek them like hidden treasures.
Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord,
and you will gain knowledge of God.
For the Lord grants wisdom!
From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
He guards the paths of the just
and protects those who are faithful to him.
Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go.
For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will fill you with joy.
Wise choices will watch over you.
    Understanding will keep you safe.
Wisdom will save you from evil people,
from those whose words are twisted.
These men turn from the right way
    to walk down dark paths.
They take pleasure in doing wrong,
and they enjoy the twisted ways of evil.
Their actions are crooked,
    and their ways are wrong.
Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman,
from the seductive words of the promiscuous woman.
She has abandoned her husband
and ignores the covenant she made before God.
Entering her house leads to death;
it is the road to the grave.[b]
The man who visits her is doomed.
He will never reach the paths of life.
Follow the steps of good men instead,
and stay on the paths of the righteous.
For only the godly will live in the land,
and those with integrity will remain in it.
But the wicked will be removed from the land,
and the treacherous will be uprooted

The World's Wisdom and God's Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1:18-31

The Wisdom of God

18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. 19 As the Scriptures say,
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise
and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”[a]
20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. 21 Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. 23 So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it’s all nonsense.
24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles,[b] Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.
26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy[c] when God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world,[d] things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. 29 As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. 31 Therefore, as the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.”[e]
