New Birth

In the beginning...
Can you imagine seeing a dark void? What it must have been like in the very beginning when God created everything?!
Its like when a new baby is born, especially if its your very first child ever born its all new and fresh.
Can you just see Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden? Everything is new and crispy clean.  Then sin enters and messes up everything.  Just like when your new baby starts exploring and gets a bump on his head or a cut on her finger.  Babies age and have scars and learn imperfect behaviours from us.
Regardless we try and protect them and keep them safe from harm.  Thats what God did when he punished Adam and Eve from disobeying his command,  "dont eat from thst tree. " Were not meant to live forever and know everything and we need Gods protection and wisdom to survive.
Seek His shelter and His wisdom to grow in strength spiritually.
Psalm 911 "Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Destroyed by Sin

Psalm 106

The people were rescued and then turned to sin forgetting all about God. They worshipped idles and lived like unsaved people around them. God was angered yet still rescued them from their oppressor time and time again. He showed mercy and pity on them but they couldn't stay away from sinning and ultimately they were destroyed for a lack of self-control and discipline.
I'm sure we can all relate to these people. Sinning is easy. To refrain from sinning takes practice. Let's choose the narrow path today, the road which leads to eternity not death and destruction.

Daily Words of Encouragement

As I rededicate my focus and my life on Christ, This is my challenge: write one post daily and in one year publish my 3rd book: Words of Encouragement daily devotional.

I am making a commitment to share a Psalm and Proverbs on the website each day and on my Facebook page.

Today's Words of Encouragement

Proverbs 16

"We can make our own plans,
but the Lord gives the right answer."

"Commit your actions to the Lord,
and your plans will succeed."

"We can make our plans,
but the Lord determines our steps."

We should seek God each day to know His plans and to follow close in the way He's leading our hearts and our paths.
Take your time getting to know the Lord. He will direct and guide your plans with His purpose if you listen and let Him lead you.

Psalm 105
"For he remembered his sacred promiseto his servant Abraham.

That Other Person: Part 1

Proverbs 14:30
You know the one that's involved in every ministry outreach...
I'm not like that other person.  I wish I could be like them. Have the time, energy, and money  to volunteer.
1 Corinthians 10:13
You know the one that goes to church every sunday and wednesday....
I'm not like that other person. I wish I had the dedication and focus, the energy, and motivation.
James 3:14-16
Ecclesiastes 4:4
Galatians 6:4
You know the one whose husband makes more than enough money so they can go to all those church events.
I'm not like that other person. I wish we had extra money and time to get more involved.
